I love little green guys, y'all. I am here unable to sleep because I am OVERCOME with love for little green guys and am lamenting that I do not have the energy to turn our house into a greenhouse

if you asked me what was the single thing that gave me the most serotonin these past months (besides my friends and partners and headmates) it would be my basil. not even FFXIV. my basil

I wish growing Plant in video game was anywhere as fulfilling as growing Plant irl. where is the rush of delight when I see the new buds peeking forth? the giddiness of watching stems and leaves grow bigger and bigger? the grim satisfaction of murdering every horrible little insect that DARES munch on my PRECIOUS BASIL

and of course, the relief and joy of watching new leaves unfurl, whole and unharmed, and knowing that it was all worth it in the end?

you might want to check out viridi! it's free (there are microtransactions to get new seedlings, but you can also get a free one each week) and i think has some of the elements you described wanting from growing plants in video games (there are no bugs, but there are weeds!). forewarning that on the pc version there's a ui bug where you need to resize the window for the watering icon to appear.
