There is a mechanic in Fallen London for players to send rats to each other via the postal system. Rats are one of perhaps four items that can be posted.
And there is an annual Christmas tradition called Ratmas where players send an unfathomable amount of rats to the developers of Fallen London, until they give up and are forced to patch the game and use devtools to reduce the amount of rats they receive. Much fun is had by all. That tradition takes place on December 7, which is tomorrow1.
While this is traditionally done in-game, I see no reason it needs to stay within those bounds. It would just so happen that Failbetter is on Cohost! By coincidence or by design, @failbettergames became active again here earlier today2 just in time for the festivities to commence, and @bruno is around regularly.3
I am exhorting all of you at Cohost to blow the socks off of their their Notifications tabs with rats until they gently ask you to cool it. If you have no better rats at hand, you can always use Unicode 🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀.
