this is, of course, a suggestion and not a commandment - it depends a lot upon who your intended audience is, whether that's other fandom folks, your pals who don't know the first thing about the fandom, or yourself. if you're just poasting for the sheer joy of poasting, then you are under absolutely no obligation to make your blorbo yellin scrutable to others!
...but I cannot deny that a form of this was more or less how I lured a bunch of my pals into first playing FFXIV, and then Fallen London
me, dangling characters that I think certain friends would be Really Into in front of them: "oooo, you want to play so you can meet the new blorbo, oooooooooooo"
