my basilcare routine involves spraying all eight or so plants with a mixture of horticultural soap and oil, from top to bottom, bottom to top, being sure to get the undersides of every leaf and as many nooks and crannies as I can reach, before rinsing them off with a spray of distilled water with a drop of seaweed solution as a lil foliar bonus. I used to do this every day but now that the thrips are HOPEFULLY cooling off I do this every two to three days instead.
and since a bunch of my plants are semi-hydro now, I refresh their water every three days or so as well. did you know that basil absolutely LOVES to chug water??? so much that sometimes it gets ill from drinking too much nutrient water too fast??? I had to scale back to a single drop per nutrient solution mix and every other day or so I check the roots of my semi-hydro plants to make sure they aren't rotting
I am a normal person who is normal about basil btw.
