my claim to niche internet fame is writing the second most upvoted suggestion in the Account Management section of the Twitch Uservoice forum - namely, to stop requiring SMS-based 2FA
it's been up there for three whole years and I periodically get emails informing me that yet another person has commented to go "wtf Twitch, why is this still an issue three whole years later"
(which to be clear, I'm not complaining about that, because why is this still an issue three whole years later)
...this reminds me that I had to give up streaming on Twitch because they insisted I couldn't send them OBS's pixels unless I gave them my phone number, and man, I do not want to give Amazong my phone number, so no.
Lmao yeah, this and related nonsense was why I ended up signing up for a cheap (for me) unlimited line to use as a burner. But! I really! Shouldn't have to do that!!!
