Fallen London folks who happen to know German (a far shot on a teeny site I guess but):

there's a bit of text in the House of Chimes that makes reference to a forbidden text titled "Abhandlung über K________zucht". the good doctor is German, so naturally I wanted to figure out what this translated to, considering he'd be able to read it

the first two words were easy: google translate claims they mean "treatise on." it's the last word that's difficult - "zucht" means "breeding/cultivation," so this probably means something like "Treatise on the Breeding of _", but I can't figure out what the "_" is. there is "kleintierzucht", which basically translates to "the breeding/cultivation of small animals". however, considering that this is, again, a forbidden text that raises your Monstrous Anatomy and has some relation to the Masters, I doubt that's it.

and of course this is complicated a lot by the fact that German is a lot of little words mashed together. I'm not dedicated enough to comb through the German dictionary in search of nine-letter words that could fit in this context. but maybe you know one???

(also, yes, I'm fully aware that this is probably a dev joke about how so much of the playerbase is horny for the Masters. tbh that just makes me want to figure this out more)

I was visiting German family today so I decided to see if they could decipher this and it was very much like five people in a room trying to do a crossword based on very little context. Anyways we did reach a result, which might not be canon, but actually seemed quite good, which was: "Krankheit" which means "disease"

[My grandmother did get stuck for awhile thinking it was Kinderzucht which she did add "but that would be horrible" which we did argue was the point, but also not enough letters]

So it would be the Treatise on Cultivating Disease

Which we thought was pretty good.
