(to be clear, FFXIV didn't do anything to put me off - it's just that the way I naturally work means I get Really into something for a period of time before arcing away towards something else. with time, I might arc back. paradoxically games that encourage Log In And Do Thing Every Day tend to have poorer retention from me because it's Very Frustrating to be pressured to go against this!)
