(fallen london stamps by continuing from the bit about Nathan moving in with the doctor being often misinterpreted - Nathan does get asked about how his "husband" is doing, both by well-meaning folks and tittering society gossips alike. the doctor just brushes these things off but it mildly annoys Nathan. he's long since decided that he doesn't know what exactly to call his relationship with the doctor, but that he doesn't need to know - he's happy and that's what matters. now if only other people would get the memo.
(and of course, he just really doesn't appreciate it when people act like marrying the doctor would be a pitiable thing to begin with. he has nothing but the highest regard and the utmost affection for the man - both for his knowledge and his character.)
