something that I have enjoyed watching unfold is how Savoulain and Nathaniel have been diverging, despite the latter being an explicit expy of the former. it turns out that (not) being a millennia-old god has some effects on how you relate to other people!
just on a surface level, both are huge nerds who go deep into their understanding of everything, who aren't quite sure of their place in the world
however, Sav is "I spent the last many thousand years locked in my wizard tower and now that I'm among the masses again I'm realizing I've forgotten how to be a person"
and meanwhile, Nathan is "I spent my whole life figuratively locked in a manor and I'm still learning what it means to be someone outside of all of the roles that were decided for me"
when it comes to the phrase "I am a person worthy of love," Sav has trouble comprehending the "I am a person" part and Nathan has trouble comprehending the "worthy of love" part
