(and I think that's just a very important part of his idealism - he has lofty, mad goals about the tearing down of death's gates and reshaping the natural order and all that. but taking care of people in the here and now is still important to him, and it's what takes priority when it's right in front of him. it's just that he needs to be dragged out of his lab now and then so these things can be in front of him to begin with)

oh yeah, and he calls everyone by their names instead of their months if he knows them, especially November and July.

(and February, too. it annoys her (though that's not the reason he does it))
