👀 What pen? This one has favorites it can suggest if you don't have one in mind (in the $20-35 range).
Oh, Pilot Metropolitan! Fantastic first fountain pen- a gray one was this one's first. Nowadays it tends to prefer the Lamy Al-Star or Safari because it likes the triangular grip and ink window, but the Metropolitan is still fantastic and sees plenty of use.
Ooh, I'm going to bookmark that. I have a few fountain pens but I haven't found a really good beginner's pen yet.
Hell yes. As a youth I was so reluctant to spend any money ever but one time I bought a fountain pen, one you dip in ink rather than a cartridge one, and some fancy gold ink to go with it and lemme tell you I had the time of my life with that fucker. Have fun
