relatedly, I'm realizing that part of the reason I was (and still am!!!) so fuckin mad about them giving sage a busywork DPS button in Dawntrail is because even in Endwalker, I was hitting the limit of what my hands could manage. like, it turns out that even holding down modifiers that aren't shift hurts my hands. hell, even when I ALLCAPS without capslock, I do it by holding down the shift key with one hand and tapping out the relevant letters with the other.

in order to fit the new keys into my setup, I had to start using ctrl on the regular - and while I'm willing to put up with that for something that's good and relevant, I am VERY GROUCHY about doing it for a DPS button. on a healer.

anyway, rearranging where the modifier keys live has helped quite a lot, thankfully! but my hands still complain whenever I have to do nonsense like SHIFT SPACE CTRL SHIFT TAB CTRL SPACE all while WASDing at the same time. (looking at you, Warframe bullet jumping)

in reply to @bazelgeuse-apologist's post:

iirc there's a "toggle to run" accessibility option in warframe. i also got recommended to change the crouch hotkey to c, which has saved my hands a bit (they still do complain when having to hold down shift for a long time tho).
