(his character was in fact very heavily influenced by [ENDWALKER RAIDS REDACTED CHARACTER], a similarly short and sweet-faced guy who is extremely competent. iirc no one in FFXIV itself underestimated him based on his looks but a lot of fans seemed to like... unironically infantilize him, despite him not acting babey at all and even pulling a heck of a gambit over on one of the main villains)
