some important context:

• this would be mostly for having a chill, casual space to poast in with pals. we kind of dislike the vibes the Fediverse In General (and Social Media In General) has and want to focus on Just Having A Nice Place To Shamelessly Talk About Your Interests. if you want broader reach, to meet lots of new people, or to promote your work, I'd strongly recommend signing up on a bigger, more open instance like weirder.earth or mastoart.social.
• in addition, this instance is being paid for entirely out of pocket by us, and managed entirely by us, a Single Plural System inside a Single Mortal Body. it will not be bug-free, or always online, or anything else you can expect from a corporate social media. we reserve the right to run the instance how we want, up to and including deciding who can join and banning people because they're harshing the vibes.
• we have the instance set to allowlist federation, which means that you cannot interact with posts/accounts from other instances (nor can they interact with you) unless they are explicitly on the allowlist. this is mostly because we can't be bothered with playing Nazi whack-a-mole and we'll readily add more instances as long as they aren't full of jerks, but there's no guarantee that we'll do so in any reliable timeframe. (again, if you want a more open instance, would recommend signing up for a different one!)
• there's still some setup that needs to happen wrt both backend stuff and social stuff (like blocking AI crawlers, putting together a guide on how fedi works, and so on). we'll try to get that done Soon(tm)
