I intellectually knew Warwick Davis was only 11 when he was cast as Wickett the Ewok in Return of the Jedi, but this photo is the first time it really clicked for me how absolutely young he was.
Its actually an astounding performance-- never mind the hot, heavy, blinding, restricting Ewok costume itself; imagine being a preteen with as much physical awareness and expression to create such a vibrant character purely through body language. Really incredible.
