is when i fully realized "tech companies are ahead of legislation" isn't about how tech stuff is so groundbreaking that laws aren't yet suited for them, it's that the purpose of the silicon valley company is to 'innovate' by creating something that gets around existing laws. It's all about breaking labour or safety or tax laws until you're big enough you can get lawmakers to deregulate in your favour
