2023-03-14: Pretty sure this will be my time on the river trail for the year. The last section was officially closed yesterday, and especially after fresh snow, it's a bit too hard to make a reasonable judgement about whether areas are still safe. The recently-closed sections felt fine but once I hit the unofficial sections to the west, the path is just gone in most places. It was the right weather for a sendoff—the harsh wind had my footsteps fading behind me.
