nothing is funnier than when people become dependent on the broken functionality of the original so you can't just replace it. shutil.copy2 we salute you.
Even funnier that shutil.copytree has to have a copy_function parameter

my favourite one is mysql_real_escape_string because there's layers to it. they made a function that was a bad way to do things (parameterised statements are better) and they did it wrong, but they couldn't change it, so they made a new one, and that's what they called it.
