the crowd cheers
we should organize our society around goodness
more cheers
We should reward people for doing good
quieter cheers
With a point system.
murmurs in the crowd
Like Klout for kindness
boos
And we should make sure people can afford they're basic needs if they aren't kind enough
the crowd is starting to yell
And if one of the cooks messes up my burger, I should be able to get the server fired
the crowd is throwing things and rushing the stage
see, this is the behaviour we're trying to improve through kindness

I don't believe in prisons, I'm actually an abolishionist.

confronted with a moral dillema more complicated than "My roommate is making me wash the dishes."

Hmm. Well, instead of prison, what if we just ban somebody from interacting with polite society? Say, some sort of building that meets their basic needs. Well, not meet them, it has to be a little worse to justify it.
