The film relies heavily on shot/reverse shot dialogue scenes. part way through the third or fourth such scene someone gets up and it's revealed that the reverses weren't reverse shots, they were actually quick cuts between parallel universes and this is when they diverged.
Maybe later you get a flashback where you see the other halves of the conversation for one of the scenes and it's subtly but noticeably different
