it's really funny that Bethesda hired an actual Jesuit to write for one of Starfield's space church factions but then one of the most common loading screens just asserts that "Of all the religions in the Settled Systems, only the snake cult is true"

Reminds me of that HBO show Raised By Wolves, where there was a major theme of like Faith vs Science, down to literally having a global war between atheists and a global theocracy in the backstory.
But the religion wasn't Christianity, it was the Mithraic mystery cult!
