Ok, so I'm definitely going to be shit. The two sports I was best at ever were soccer (I was a decent player on my rec teams) and distance running (I ran a few marathons, my best time was a bit over an hour slower than the current medallists) and I'm a decade+ off my glory days of either.
Given a year of olympic-level coaching and a year's incentive to not be the most embarrassed person on earth, I think it's got to be Marathon running? I'm looking at the slowest times from the last olympics, and I think that's a time I could have achieved if I had kept at it. A faint glimmer of hope that I could have a best-ever run at the same time some significantly-better athlete is having the worst run of their career is still a lock compared to a guaranteed last in everything else
