A few months ago, I was walking through a forest when I noticed a perfect spiderweb glinting in the sunlight. From many angles, it was all but invisible but from where I walked it glowed iridescently. Its shape is not a coincidence. It is not merely well made. This perfect web is a sigil of binding. Designed to draw me in like so many flies. My computer wants to tell me I took 9 photos in as many minutes but I know that's not the case. I was there for hours. I was there for days. I feel I am still there failing to capture its beauty in the way it captured me
