2023-11-02: I have been experimenting for much of the week with trying to get a good shot of an icicle from underneath. It's a great idea but it's tricky because i have to use the screen on my camera instead of the eyepiece1 and that makes it harder to both see and adjust focus2. No closer on that front but I somehow lucked into something even better today when that singular water droplet came out perfectly in focus. I wasn't shooting in burst mode, this was just a minor miracle of a shot.
