I don't like that mastodon allows multiple pinned posts, I think twitter was right. I always find it kind of annoying to scroll through like 10 posts a person has probably forgotten they even pinned to see to find something they posted recently

Actually now that I think about it Mastodon's approach is... basically just a response to the fact that the bio field is limited in size, huh? On both Twitter and Mastodon. It's like a bonus "extra bio". Cohost's long bios means it's kind of less necessary
pinned posts go sideways imo, like hometown announcements
in the middle, and once you pick a direction you can't go back
