Just want to reiterate, I know it’s probably done with good intentions, but you really don’t need to put content warnings on depictions of fat people!

The same way you don’t put a content warning on any other just, type of person or identity. They’re just people that exist!

If you want to tag hyper or fetish or w/e, sure, but seeing just “cw: fat” so much is just not it

Edit: two clarifications: 1. I am specifically talking about porn and other horny art. Of course this applies to SFW art too, but I thankfully never see anyone doing that. 2. Tagging is fine and good, it’s only content warnings of “fat” or “fat fur” I have beef with

You're 100% right but also why would anyone tag something as fat if it wasnt a fetish thing?

I mostly use #chub #belly #chubby fur and #chub fur

That tends to give me results for fat people without an obesity fetish(not that theres anything wrong with that)

Ofc I can’t know people’s intentions, but like - if it’s because it’s really fetishy, they should cw it specifically that way, and if it’s not, then they shouldn’t cw it at all

“Fat” itself isn’t a bad word!

If the content warning is just “cw: fat”, I think it at least gives the impression that the artist is catering to fatphobes who would be bothered by seeing it - because I do see it on just regular pin-ups of a fat person being sexy!

Really if it's porn/erotic stuff thaf is based on a character's fatness peopl should bee using more specific cws/tags like belly play or feeding kink or whatever, buf if it's just a character who happens to bee fat doing sexual/kinky stuff it's a bit strange to tack in a fat cw as wew, like the body type would make it into a different/more niche type of thing.

tags tho I think are fine cuz it's doesn't carry these implications inherently and peopl can just be tag searching to find body rep. (In fact, I think more granular tagging/cws on "fat kinks" would bee a huge help to people searching for non-fetishized fatness, and I am nof saying those kinks are problematic but it's not always what u're looking for)

I'm sorry to hear that's happened to you - no one deserves that, and I feel lucky that I've managed to dodge it somehow
I want to hope no Cohost users would be like that, but the block function is there if someone gives you shit!
And it's totally fine and good if you want to CW things like "hyper" or "blob", the issue is just when fat people see "CW: fat / fatfur" and it's like the OP is warning others about their real life body
Thanks for listening ❤
