in the unlikely event that we ever needed to run an IR transmission spectrum in a lab, I'd kind of hope they still had the ancient Perkin Elmer machine that was built like a tank and printed the spectrum out on a roll of paper ~Chara
I remember the days of taking the long paper chart recorder output from an overnight protein sequencer run and cutting it up with scissors into individual chromatograms, and putting them on a light box two at a time in sequence, marking with a marker which peaks went up, to call the sequence. Good times!
