After a few years primarily using cohost and mastoverse, I got used to the thing where if I see something, it's because some person (or maybe bot) I deliberately follow decided to post it. The facebook and tumblr thing where the machine will just feed you stuff, it feels much weirder now. Especially facebook. Not all of it is terrible but a whole lot of it is, and I'll think, huh, which friend decided to share this, and, no. But somehow someone is making money off it.
