the PS1's general soundtrack quality standards are so high that someone can go "hey heather, you've never been interested in ridge racer, have you heard R4's OST?" and it'll immediately shoot to the fucking top.
They also synchronized menu background to the beat (desyncs a bit but you get the idea)
