Very pleased to discover that gonzo post-apocalyptic rock-n-roll sword adventure Six String Samurai has been uploaded to YouTube in its entirety by its distributor.
It's impossible to ignore how much fun everyone was having making this ridiculous movie. More tribute to than parody of its obvious influences, the film wisely commits to the bit and is much funnier for how much it resists winking to the camera. However, the glue that holds the whole film together is unquestionably the soundtrack, prominently featuring The Red Elvises (who also cameo early in the film). You just couldn't serve dueling sword rockers without also serving Rock.
A Ring-Pop™ jewel of 90s independent cinema.
