I don't think I ever experienced it because I was so put off by the direction they took the actual game...
but may be worth a look (listen?) i guess?
the entire soundtrack is straight up amazing but that one & bohemian street jam are definitely the best
like every track has a distinct personality to it
I remember for a while you could download the SC4 tracks directly from Maxis (or the composer?) and even order a CD of them. It's some of the best ambient music ever. I love all the callbacks to the SC2000 tracks that SC3000 and SC4 have, too. Just great stuff. Some of my most-played ambient tracks.
SimCity 3000 music was my go-to music when I was trying to study or do homework in college for like years!
