we removed one of your pins for violating our rules, but then it turned out it was fine and the rules were never violated.

what should follow: sorry, we got this wrong! we'll try to do better, here's our policy on that content and here's how to contact us in the future if you have questions/feedback

what actually follows: a threat for some reason? admonishment to please follow the rules even though I DID? I HAVE LITERALLY NEVER BROKEN THEM? why am i getting a warning for your mistake? excuse you!

fun fact, i've gotten this message before and i emailed them about it like... my dudes? this is a baffling message, do you maybe want to rethink it? and they kinda agreed, but of course they never changed it lol

Gods, I get this like once every few weeks because someone flagged someone else's tumblr screenshot with eating disorder recovery advice/motivation that I've saved and I get told off for it, and then someone appeals it and I get told off for it again even though they just said it was fine. Everything about pinterest feels like it was deliberately designed to ever so slightly hostile.

I mean, it's cop shit. The attitude is "we have to police you, so no matter if you were actually violating right now, we were inherently right to suspect you." It's not good, of course. But it's the mindset of the enforcer wielding the punishment stick.
