I had @qwarq code a bestiary window for me because none of the existing plugins satisfied my needs. There's also a cookbook for Nathalia's recipes that follows the same layout.

In addition to seeing the stats and the money/exp reward for enemies, there's also flavor text for each one. Recipes have flavor text too.

The bestiary and cookbook have unique artwork for each entry, which I hope isn't going to bite me in the ass later...

When Caroline started her first day working at the First Royal Library of the Kingdom of Heaven, she was certainly not expecting it to upend everything she knew about her own little world...

Hi, I'm Lina and this is the official account for my upcoming RPG. The above image is just a mockup. The game has a hybrid battle system which combines classic Active Time Battle games of the 1990's and tactical RPGs. Every character's timer determines not only when they're able to act, but how much they can move on their turn, with each step depleting some of your gauge. Positioning is key, with moves having an area of effect that can hit foes and friends alike, and objects on the field working as cover for some attacks.

In addition, every character has a unique resource and associated mechanics in lieu of traditional MP. The Synergy Gauge also allows for team attacks between your party. Blocking is also done in an active manner, similar to a fighting game - and yes, there are parries!

This account will occasionally share art and post updates on development progress. Right now posts are pretty sparse but expect them to pick up once development really kicks off.

Introducing... Gems. In BELOW HEAVEN, characters do level, however that only affects their HP and known skills. The only way to improve the rest of your party's stats is through equipment. In addition to the pieces of armor and accessories you can find around the world, there is one more way you can build characters to your liking: gems.

Every piece of equipment, from your weapons to the three other pieces of armor that can be equipped on the user's Head, Body, or Feet, has a number of slots for these magical stones which grant a variety of additional buffs. Thus, choosing the right equipment is not simply a matter of which has the best stats, but how many gem slots it has in order to further upgrade it.

Each character's weapon is a personal item and as such, you won't be replacing them. However, your weapons and equipment can be upgraded over the course of the game for better stats and, of course, more gem slots.

Huge thanks to programmer Qwarq for developing this system and the new equipment screen so flawlessly.
