After getting in the drawing groove late 2022, I resolved to draw enough to finally do a yearly art summary. I think this is a success, and I'm pretty proud of what I made this year!

July - resolve
August - vacuum decay
September - sandwich. (pic from collection)

(The few I managed to get out before Christmas. The idea was that I'd paint stuff with a very small canvas.)
Honorary April mentions because apparently I just put out constant bangers that month:

Rambles
Starting September I was hit pretty hard by school starting back up. I still feel that I was a lot happier when I was doing the internship: I certainly get more done for my classes, but I do miss having a strict division of work and life, rather than the constant deadlines breathing down my throat. I started ADHD treatment recently, so hopefully that'll help me get on top of all that.
I didn't get full paintings out every month, some months I only have a few sketches to show for it, but I have something to show, and it's a nice feeling to just... have a hobby with tangible results to review. I'm very proud of some of the pieces I made.
Looking back at the year, I think I'm pretty happy with it. It's very lacking compared to what I had in mind last Dec 31st, but I was in such an optimistic and happy headspace then that it's almost embarrassing to think of now (a feeling which i want to quash: i'm allowed to be optimistic sometimes).
For 2024... it's going to be a busy year, but I feel like I've realized myself as a person a lot better since moving out. I want to set my sights on actually doing something with what I've learned... rationing my time so that I can juggle school with my creative hobbies properly.
Also this is my first time doing this so perhaps my opinion counts less, but I never quite got why art summary templates were designed to crop the pieces into neat identical spaces. I want to appreciate the art, but the templates cover most of it up?
Anyhow, happy new year, everyone. Thanks to everyone who supported/interacted with my art ๐
