daily knowledge: the rss logo that everyone knows and loves first appeared in mozilla firefox. rss had already become a standard by late 2004, but there was no universally agreed upon symbol for it until september of that year, when mozilla introduced the classic orange wifi-esque design that was created by stephen horlander. in december 2005, internet explorer and outlook followed soon, with opera adopting it not long after. and thus, the RSS logo was set in stone.
