Hey, does anyone have any resources/tips for someone first learning bass guitar? Especially for someone who struggles with hand eye coordination and copying people's movements just by looking at them, although that might be asking too much lol

When I was learning to play cello in middle school, the best thing that helped me confidently nail the right finger placements was marking the neck with tape. Probably not as necessary on a guitar with the frets? But I’ve never actually played a guitar so if there’s more complicated fingering happening to get the right chords maybe tape could help with keeping track of that while you work on muscle memory. I played cello for two years and barely got out of using tape before I had to give up the hobby.
For strumming, maybe try to find video tutorials that cut to multiple angles so you have as much reference material as possible, or focus on finding tutorials that show you from above since that’s where your perspective is at. Take screenshots and make your own slideshows if that helps.
