every time i see this on a webtoon/manga app i just don't understand. real pirates are past the ss and post Era of piracy and also your website allows screenshots.
i see funny panel, i give series i wouldn't think twice about a shot.
same thing with limiting recording features of consoles 🙄 its all bullshit
lmao yeah you gotta worry about the person who's using the recording feature and not the person who paid $150 for a splitter that strips HDCP.
more importantly, i bought the damn console and software should not be able to tell me i cant use the hardware i own 😤
I think Webtoon in particular may have a point? like the Android app in particular only ever blocks OS screenshots of series with pay-to-see-pages-early content, and on those series it has a screenshot menu option for the non-paid pages. also can only access those pages on the app, not the webpage.
i can accept that's a minority of the apps blocking screenshots, though.
Hmm, I see the screenshot option now but that seems pretty had to discover, too bad the android screenshot prevention doesn’t send an event to the app so it can’t be like “Take a screenshot here!”. Meanwhile on iOS they just scream that they will trace you bc iOS can’t block screenshots.
I think its to drive people to use the app because the Webtoons app has the ability to take screenshots. Not through the normal way you do it though. You have to select "take a screenshot" from the app menu while reading a page.
