after embracing lowercase i find it hard to go back to capitalizing sentences. it just seems awfully stuffy, like starting and ending an email with "Dear" or "Sincerely"
i had a linguistics professor who responded to formal, academic emails with all lowercase and it ruled
Proper capitalization as the equivalent of polite conjugations in Japanese; all lowercase as the equivalent of casual form in Japanese; all caps as the equivalent of ending everything in -てやがる in Japanese.
(Just ignore the part where I type everything with proper capitalization despite my mindset leaning much closer to casual.)
i think uppercase is still useful when writing in lowercase because you can use it to emphasize words to get that Extra Spicyness
