I may have a friend who jokes about this whenever I'm making homemade pickles... (Gotta feed those spiro cravings somehow!)
i gotta get back into making those. i keep having issues with cucumber texture but maybe one of these days i'll figure out how to ward off the dreaded M U S H
I've had some pretty good luck with a basic vinegar brine style pickles (1 cup water, 1 cup vinegar, 1 tbsp salt for a 1 quart mason jar of veggies), but I've seen stuff about if you really want things crunchier you can add alum? Tis used in really small amounts, not as sure the exact amount there.
