probably the simplest but most dramatic conceptual reframing tool i am trying to use more nowadays is whenever a company says "we can't find people to work" or similar, what they're actually saying is "we are underpaying for this position".
a wage is a bribe you pay a person to sit in one place and do a job, no matter how crappy that job is. if you are struggling to find a person to take that job you should raise the level of bribe. basic shit
oh those poor companies. unable to find any workers. i feel so terrible for them and their hypothetical candidate with 10 years of experience in a niche position while i sit here unemployed
