and I feel like that really distills why I'm so disillusioned with data science as a field as someone who is really often an edge case and gets somewhat discarded by the system
a small but certain improvement to the algorithm's outcome? eh, not worth the money it would cost to change things. come back when you have something that maybe might make us way more money from ads
