would probably spell it as कोहोस्ट personally — the english aspirated "t" sound tracks more closely to ट than त imo, & the terminal letter is also clipped by default so you don't need the ् to indicate that. good चोस्ट!

I remember reading that 蝌蚪啃蜡 was one of many transliterations made up by some random person who sells Coke before Coke announced a proper Chinese name, and that the urban legend part is when people say it was an official Coke translation.

I propose a naming contest and submit 口后死它 as a starting point for discussion
