lol im gonna imagine they're just entering the binary codes for unicode characters one bit at a time
maybe you could build a keyboard into the inside of the paws - probably doesn't make sense to have a standard qwerty layout in there but I imagine some sort of chorded scheme with one button per finger could work out ok (albeit with a steep learning curve)
