what do u mean i have to arm a track
what do u mean i have to arm a track
going off of mine, my guess is that there's probably a button on the track with a little dot that'll turn red if you click it, indicating that the DAW is ready to record audio/MIDI to that track, which is what saying the track is armed means c:
i hope that helps, but ya just lmk if there's more i can help with!
i figured that part out but i for some reason still can't get the dang thing to produce any noises
it looks like it's recording but then when i play it back there's nothing
oh my mistake! hmm, so it shows the waveform/MIDI notes as you play, but then it doesn't make any sound after the fact?
yeah. getting really frustrated because it just keeps doing that
oof, yeah, that's no fun. hmm. in mine there are two different record buttons, tbh i'm not 100% sure why but one of them records to the armed track and the other one i think records to a different part of the software. hmm, what's the DAW?
hmm, are you playing a MIDI keyboard or a traditional instrument? (also i'm sorry about the poor timing but i have a call with my partner in a moment, so i'll be away for a bit. she might know though, i'll ask her! c:)
ok! my partner's thought was to make sure that the track you have armed is a MIDI track, rather than an audio track. also since it's free, i can try to reproduce the problem on my end and troubleshoot that way
i've been poking around everywhere i can possibly think to look in the software but i can't get any sound out of it either besides static :/
i think it's possibly an audio driver mismatch issue, but i can't find any settings to correct
i'm sorry i couldn't help more, but maybe the ableton demo is a potential backup option? it's for 90 days and is more reliably plug-and-play ime
well i appreciate the effort! i'll have to look into other DAWs
my experiences with DAWs so far have mainly been:
one day I swear to god I will get the information to stick
