thinking about the concept of a "bimbo" (as in the online aesthetic that involves a lot of pink and blonde hair and big boobs, unrelated to actual intelligence) and how you might translate that to other cultures. maybe it's a bit like the british chavette?
superficially there's some aesthetic overlap with japanese gyaru culture (see nicki minaj's alter ego harajuku barbie) but i'm not sure if that's really structurally similar to the american bimbo, which kind of takes our culture's standard for beauty and turns it up to 11. in contrast i get the vibe that gyaru culture is more directly rebellious, doing the opposite of classic japanese beauty standards such as pale skin and dark hair
