i feel like they're different but i'm having trouble pinning down a concise differentiation. hypothetically "electronic" means "related to electrons" but... i'm pretty sure all electricity involves those lil guys.

maybe electronics implies something that takes advantage of things that electrons can do, like using semiconductors, as opposed to an electromechanical device that could hypothetically have the electric part swapped out? idk

Electronic is a lot cooler, because it has neon highlights.

(sorry, but yeah, I think you're basically right? Electric just noms electricity, Electronic does things with/to it?)

Electric can mean that something resembles electricity. You will never see "electronic" used in this way. It can also mean something that contains electricity.

Electronic is something that uses electricity. It refers to the wires or the circuits or whatever, or like the beep boop beep sounds made by such devices. I feel like there's something to the fact that "electronic" is emphasizing the container, while "electric" emphasizes the contents.
