If Twitter has taught me anything, there's a lot of value to be had in small communities, where a sense of it can still be fostered and strengthened because of a shared vision and focus on core values
That's what Cohost does. That's what Cohost IS.
You don't really have to deal with feeling like you're stuck sharing the same oxygen as someone who's whole personality is built on punching down here, because the rules and guidelines put in place here are enough to repel those types. The ones who don't take the hint tend to get banned after they prove they're polluting the environment anyway.
So yeah, if you ask me
This site is very much worth supporting if you have the money to spare.
I'm not gonna try to wax poetic and say some corporate-pep-talk bullshit like "the world needs more places like this"
We do. As in, you and I. We're compassionate people, who's hard edges have been rounded off from years and years of everyday combat. Places like this, where it's okay to be tired of it all because none of the alternatives feel like they're made for us, are important to protect. And since the world isn't gonna step in this time, we should be empowered to do so.
