but on the other hand i've met people who read as much as i did who are, to be rude, pretty terrible at writing.
also to be honest, in retrospect i read so much because it was the main form of escapism available to me. my parents didn't really let me play video games or watch tv. also i was depressed for what, in retrospect, were pretty dang transgender reasons
