While I'd love to see more cool people here and also more paying users on the site so it's sustainable long term, there's also a lot of people I'm glad aren't here. Some people need to be here, or a similar place, for their own well being, but some people are going to bring their old mentality over and bristle.
To be very clear, I have no particular people in mind, only types of people. The kind of people that have grown up with or grown accustomed to the behaviors that those sites encourage, and only see deviation from that as wrong. "Why aren't my numbers big?" "Where are my push notifications?" "Why are my extremely curated regular posts not visible to everyone on the site?" "Why can't I blast this person that likes a thing I don't?" "Why can't I regurgitate other people's content for fame and profit?" etc etc
Damn, which social media platform has that three-eyed ghost icon, tho? Bet there's something wild going on in that community?
