The MSPCA is adopting out a massive number of pet mice this weekend! Adoption fees are waived, the first 75 adoptions will come with free starter kits, and despite being from a hoarder situation the mice are reportedly tame and healthy.
I'm going to make sure a few of them do, I just signed up to adopt 🐭🐭🐭
I kinda prefer rat personalities but tame mice are little sweeties. I hope they get adopted.
oooh! I hope you enjoy each other. I assume you've kept them before and/or your general rodent expertise has them well covered but my Mouse Tip is: mice fucking love bananas, and it is extremely fun to watch mice eat banana.
I have not had mice before! But I have had gerbils, guinea pigs, and (eventually) the humility necessary to look things up rather than go with "he's fine like that, he's happy, look how happy he is"
(technically the gerbils were not mine, they were a "class pet", but they were a class pet that ended up living at my house full time because... because there's only two ways that class pet situations end and this was the better one)
and I will make sure to provide them with banana
mine would cram double fistfuls of banana in their faces like toddlers with cake but there's nothing a mouse can do with a banana that isn't potentially toxic levels of adorable. that is the nature of bananas and mice
